The basics of using Author Notebook during the beta and beyond.
Author Notebook is currently in public beta. Features may change, and occasional bugs or downtime are possible while the product is actively developed. We aim to communicate significant changes through the Changelog.
An account is only required for optional features such as Cloud Projects. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for the activity that happens under your account.
You own the manuscripts, characters, worldbuilding, and other content you create in Author Notebook. We do not claim ownership over your creative work.
Please use Author Notebook for its intended purpose — writing and organizing your own creative projects — and avoid actions that would disrupt the service for other users.
As a beta product, features, pricing, and availability may change over time. We will try to give reasonable notice of significant changes that affect existing users, particularly around pricing.
Author Notebook is provided during beta on an as-is basis. We recommend keeping your own backups (such as exported .anb files) of anything important, in addition to using the app.
